Wall Township, NJ – Chris Gall entered the final race of the season leading Tom Ervin by a mere 10 points in his hunt for a Modified Microstock Championship, but Sunday Gall was on a mission. Gall led the field to the green for the start of the race in the Al Puntasecca #71 and got off to a great start. Ervin attempted to take the lead on the outside through turns one and two, but was unable to maintain grip allowing Gall to open up an early gap on the field. Third place starter Mike Fox Jr. closed up on Ervin’s bumper in a bid for second, as fifth place starter Robin Ervin passed Josh Barry to take fourth. The top three stretched out a gap on the rest of the field with Gall slowly increasing his lead. By the mid point of the race Barry had regrouped and retaken fourth position. T. Ervin and Fox Jr. tried desperately to close on the leader, but it was Gall all the way as he led wire to wire for his eighth win of the season. This clinched the championship for Gall by 12 points over T.Ervin, who took home six trophies during the season.  Mike Fox Jr., Josh Barry, Robin Ervin, and Brian Russell rounded out the top six.
In addition to attending college full time, Chris Gall competed this season in the Modified Microstocks at Wall Stadium this season with sponsorship from Al Puntasecca Contractors.  Gall also drove a Slingshot for Puntasecca at Bridgeport Speedway on select Friday nights, as well as campaigning his family owned Legend Car at Wall Stadium on Saturday nights.  This was the second Wall Stadium Sunday Series Championship claimed by Gall, who had previously claimed a Championship in the World Formula Microstock division.  Last year Gall moved up to the Modified division, and this season quickly established himself as the man to beat in the division.
While not racing, Gall and several other Modified Microstock drivers will have their cars on display at Hinchliffe Stadium in Patterson, NJ this coming Sunday, October 1st.  The cars will run parade laps, and race fans are welcome to meet with the race teams while visiting the historic Hinchliffe Stadium.

Harry Burd claimed his first World Formula Microstock Championship at Wall on Sunday as well.
