WALL STADIUM RACES RAINED OUT SATURDAY, AUG. 11
WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. ~ A forecast that promised rain, heavy at times, and thunderstorms throughout the afternoon and evening has forced Wall Stadium Speedway officials to rain out the auto racing events planned for Saturday night, August 11.
All American Auto Group Racing Series action will return this Saturday night, August 18, with the running of the Cliff Krause Memorial. The Pete & Elda's Bar/Carmen's Pizzeria Modified stock car 127-lap race, which will be run in honor of the promoter of the speedway who passed away of natural causes in January, will offer $7,127 to the winner and $500 to start based on a 24 car starting field. Also on the card with be the Green Flag Driving Experience Legend Cars, the O'Shea's Auto Repair Factory Stocks and the Surfside Collision 4 Cylinder Stocks. Pit gates will open at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday; with practice starting at 3:00 p.m. Grandstands will open at 5:00 p.m., qualifying is then set for 5:45 p.m. with main events for all divisions to follow.
Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on Saturdays through early October with special post-season races in October and November. The speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B.
