he NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, will be making their visit at the high banks on July 8. The cars will be taking 150 tours around the banked oval.
The first one was held in 2003 and, it was won by the late John Blewett III in the Curt Chase #77 by passing the late Ted Christopher with 70 laps left. The next year, Reggie Ruggiero's victory was controversial when he went into Ken Barry, causing him to spin. However, the photos were "inconclusive" so, fans like Ruggiero have it. That win marked Barney's first in the series and, five years later, Ruggiero won again at Thompson in the Barney #41. In 2007, Jimmy Blewett won the event in the Eddie Partridge #12 by holding off his brother John III (2003 winner) and, Reggie Ruggiero (2004 Winner).
The series returned to the schedule in 2019 and, it was a sold out crowd! Woody Pitkat won the event in the Watts #82 and Blake Barney was second. Track regular, Andrew Krause lead 35 laps until his night ended on lap 135.
Last year; Jimmy Blewett won the event after leading the last 13 laps in the Tommy Baldwin #7. Second was Big Money Matt Hirschman in the PeeDee Motorsports #60. Patrick Emerling, Andrew Krause lead the most laps and, pole sitter Ronnie Silk completed the top five respectively.
The fans will be seeing Ron Silk, John McKennedy, Austin Beers, Matt Hirschman, Justin Bonsignore, Doug Coby, Andrew Krause, Jimmy Blewett, name a few. Don't Miss Out on this event!
