George Kent Latest High Profile Driver Added to ARRRA Statistical Website

Ringoes,NJ – ARRA Research, a forty plus historian strong nationwide collection of seasoned auto racing historians are proud to announce the latest driver to be added to the growing list of drivers researched, documented and made available to the public…that are available on their widely popular website reference source for 6 or 700 different subjects ranging from driver career stats, to historical statistics on race tracks, racing organizations and series’, as well as certain popular cars from the past and top flight car owners.  And that is just the beginning!

ARRA historian Tom Schmeh, former Curator of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum at the Knoxville Speedway in Iowa, and 2019 Hall of Fame honoree, has just wrapped up an informative and complete history of the racing career of Horsehead, NY’s George “The Duke” Kent…a highly talented asphalt modified pilot that set the racing world up and got its attention when he was behind the wheel.

"George Kent, Jr., of Horseheads, N.Y., is a recent inductee into the Eastern Motorsports Press Association (EMPA) Hall of Fame and this research of his career by Jon Jay Mooney and myself shows just how deserving that honor is.  207 career features wins at 20 different tracks is very impressive, with all but five of those being in full-blown, ground-pounding asphalt modifieds (and three of those other five were in sportsman modifieds), noted Schmeh as he submitted the body of work that will forever be available on the website for reference as history is being looked back at!

Schmeh, arguably the most active historian/researcher currently among the historian roster consisting of historians from the East Coast all the way out to the West Coast, continues to juggle multiple research projects, currently consisting of projects detailing statistics on such subjects as the NY/Pennsy State Modified Championship for asphalt modifieds back in the mid to late 70’s, well known Super Modified driver Bentley Warren, the Race of Champions Modified Tour, legend Will Cagle, some slight “tweeks” to the files on Steve Kinser and Danny Lasoski among others that are in the development stages.

Wrapping up his thoughts on his research on Kent, Tom heaped some more praise on Kent’s ability behind the wheel.  “If you saw George Kent, Jr., win at the Shangri-la Speedway in Owego, N.Y., in his brother Ron Kent's number 26 asphalt modified, you were witnessing history!"

ARRA historians invite all interested racing fans curious to check out George Kent’s impressive win list (over 200 victories) can do so by following the link: https://sites.google.com/site/arracarsdriversevents/home/george-kent'
