Thanks for the info Bob - About 10 years ago, Wayne Bechtel and Frank Miller handed me a a thick envelope of negative strips that Wayne had taken with his camera back in the mid 70s.  I ended up taking them to CVS in Hightstown and they were able to digitize them and put them on a CD.  I'm guessing that it was around 100 - 125 pics and it was around $50?, so I can see how it would be very expensive when you have 1000's and 1000's of images.... 

By the way, thank you to Wayne and Frank for providing those images for The Vault.  I'm sure many of you guys recognize the names from all of the great black and white images that have been posted here, and in the main site, that originated from them. 

Here's one of my favorites, that if it wasn't for Frank and Wayne getting those nagatives out of a box, this little gem would have stayed hidden, possibly forever:
