For those who have not visited the Museum you are missing a true treasure. You could literally spend days in the library alone. They have some incredible photo albums for you to peruse. This is the place to do any research on auto racing. I particularly enjoy the engine display in the drag racing room. Hidden on the second floor behind the Larry Dixon Silver Crown car is a Cosworth Indy car engine. What a small package of might. Of course the museum is loaded with race cars. My favorite sprinter, the Bud Grim 351 cubic inch Ford powered sprinter driven by the late Ray Tilley to some 40 plus wins in one year is on display. There are midgets, stock cars, winged and non- winged sprint cars, 30x90's and drag cars. Don't forget your camera. Gerald Chamberlin's 30x90 car is there.

One of the nice things is you can visit Saturday during the day and hit Lincoln Speedway, Susquehanna or Port Royal for a twofer. And the museum is totally free but it is nice to throw some money in the donation jars.

they have a room with old programs and magazines they sell for cheap. one may find something of interest there.

Make the trip you won't regret it.
