Its a NY event, geared and groomed for the NY bretheren. Its no secret that any outsider gets extra scrutiny. I know many of the drivers prefer a dry slick surface as long as it has 2 or more grooves. To each his own. I think SDW should be a shared event held at different venues, giving other teams and fans to watch thier favorites on equal footing who might not otherwise attend. They did this with Race of Champions asphalt modifieds and it worked. Some venues could never host SDW due to local ordinances or having inadequate facilities. I agree Bridgeport would be more than adequate if it weren't for Logan Twp's current restrictive policies. Perhaps they could be persuaded to amend some of the restrictions for a week if they were made aware of the revenue it would bring in. The power of the purse seems to work everywhere else. Its probably a pipe dream, the NY dirt puppet masters would never sign on to anything that would inconvenience them or out Pa NJ or Delaware based teams on a more equal footing. They like it just the way it is. I will say the few minutes video I saw looked like better racing than the Moody Mile.
