I appreciate the response (KB12), but you didn't really answer the two questions I asked.

From the comfort of my "armchair", I'll stick with that the way Nascar ended that race/demolition derby, (last man/women standing) is a disgrace and was embarrasing to watch...  What took place in the final 10 laps (or, what was probably equivelent to the last hour plus of TV coverage) is really hard to defend as someone who still tries to be a race fan.

I'll also stick with that although Nascar tried to sell tickets for the event, it looked pretty much like a private affair, and I would be surprised if they even open up the spectator stands for next year's event. 

It's a shame that in order to move up the ranks, that legitimate raceteams and talented drivers have to be part of the "Green/White/Wreckered"circus that I saw yesterday.
