IT’S RACE DAY FOR THE HARD CLAY OPEN AT ORANGE COUNTY FAIR SPEEDWAY
It’s race day for the ‘Hard Clay Open’ at Orange County Fair Speedway.
After a weather delay of one month, the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco kicks off its Halmar International North Region tonight at the Legendary House of Power. STSS big-block/small-block Modified drivers battle 50 laps for a pay structure totaling more than $30,000 - $5,000 to win, $1,000 for 10th and $500 to take the green. Thirty cars will start the main event.
The ‘Hard Clay Open’ has attracted the attention of top teams from across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.
Andy Bachetti is the defending race winner and STSS Halmar North Region champion.
OCFS Sportsman complete the open-wheel doubleheader in a 20-lap, $1,000-to-win main event.
Drive-in and pit gates open at 3:30 p.m. Grandstands are unlocked at 5 p.m. Hot laps are underway at 6:20 p.m. and racing at 7:15 p.m.
Adult admission is $25 for Adults, $22 for Seniors and $2 for Kids 12 and under. Pit Admission is $35 with no license required.
