Agree with the guys that said the '78 Flem 200 was off the chart, the 4 20's was wild, too. Surprised no one mentioned the 100 lapper Ploski won in the Morris 111 with Fitz and Chamberlain breathing down his neck for about 80 laps. Unbelievable.
On a national level, Jr fan or not, the 2001 Pepsi 400. 6th to the lead with 5 to go after a restart less than 5 months after losing his dad....go to You Tube and watch it. And don't give me that crap about a big plate, if that was the case someone would've spilled the beans by now. The DEI cars were the best restrictor plate cars then, hands down. I was working at NES at that time and we raced that night against Daytona. I was doing something in the pits after the races were over and my brother came walking up to me, saying "You're not gonna believe who won Daytona!!"...He was right.
