I may be in the minority here, but I don't think the rule is needed.  I think that the "pack" will determine who stays, and who goes.  I think that drivers who make it a habit to cause wrecks by driving "under the double yellow line"/resulting in a wreck, would quickly get a bad name with the rest of the drivers, and those things usually have a way of working themselves out if you know what I mean...whether it calling for a little Jimmy Spencer justice, or a driver not being able to keep a ride due to crashing themselves and others way too often.

What I mean is, if they try to have a rule to keep driver's from doing "ill advised" moves, where does it end?

Where's the rules for:

  • No blocking a run if approaching row of cars are traveling at a rate of speed where they will have to "check up." (Call it the "Byron Rule.")
  • No side drafting other than on the straightaway.  Call it the "Wrecky Stenhouse Rule."
  • You must pit immediately if you have a tire rub that is causing any tire smoke...  Call it the "Matt Crafton rule...."
  • You must serve a penalty if you cause somebody else to have a tire rub rule..  Call it the "Every driver that's ever held a steering wheel rule...."

You see what I mean????

If the double yellow line/out of bounds rule is in place to keep them from wadding up cars, then it looks like they need to make some more rules, and for me, I just don't think that the answer to fixing things is always to add more rules.
