My 2006 Pontiac G6's starter made it's last groan last Tuesday, so had it towed to Kevin's shop, and his guys got the car in and out in no time flat, and for a very good price.
This past Monday, driving up 95 north in Delaware in the rain, the windshield wipers decided they'd had enough... Nursed it safely into a Sunoco Travel Plaza that fortunately was only 1/2 mile away, driving with my head out the window like a dog, in the rain, trying to see in front of me. Waited out the worst of the weather - bought some RainX, and coated the heck out of the front windshield, and side windows/mirrors... and made it back to home before dark. Took it over to Kevin's yesterday, and again, his guys went to work on the G6, and now I am hoping for more rain, just so I can use my once again functioning windshield wipers....
We all know Kevin from here on the board, but some may not know that he and his wife run a great repair shop over on Rt 34, about 2 miles south of Matawan (technically, it might be Morganville if you're trying to find it.)
Anyhow - Thank you Kevin, and big thanks to your guys Steve and Noel for getting me and the G6 back on the road.
By the way... The G6 has 382k miles on it... Purchased it from Kevin's rental fleet back around 2008 with 30k on it. It's been a great car... Figures... they don't make Pontiac's anymore!
For those in the Central Jersey area (Union, Middlesex, Monmouth, Northern Ocean counties) if you have some car maintenance or repair needs, give Kevin a call!
