That's a great picture of the #52 - How come my pictures never came out that good back then?  (Heck, they don't even come out that good in 2018 when using my SLR!

Great story too Jack.  I know what you mean about not talking to drivers....  My dad and I would walk over to the pits after the races and I would stand back about 15 feet from wherever the driver was, and just kind of listen to them talk to other fans or to their crew guys....  My dad never said anything about it, but now that I think about it, he probably wondered why I had rush to go in the pits after the races every night, but then only stood around in the background.

Hey Jack - Is that one of those "Magic Cubes" that rotated until all 4 sides were used up?   Man... I remember the days of "12 exposures," and then dropping off the film off at a drug store or PhotoMat/Motophoto... or mail it away and get your pictures back like two weeks later, and hoping that some of the 12 were "keepers."  I remember how excited I would be to open up the envelope, but usually the disappointment set in pretty quickly when the one or two pictures that I was really counting on ended up blurry or out of partially out of frame... Frown
