As a sidenote

I raced as a driver from 1979 to 1990, every time that I got out of the car after running a full feature I had a headache for about 10-15 minutes, that is the only thing that ever gave me one.

Have not had even a mild headache since 1990, and it was not the noise, I always wore earplugs and the last 5 years that I drove were at EWS when they had the strict sound regulations which I am sure that you remember.

It was blissfully quiet for a race track.

One of the aspects of racing that I always found annoying is the noise, EWS did an excellent job here because they had to not because they wanted it.
