Below is a photo of a recently completed model of the #6 1937 Ford coupe campaigned at Flemington in the mid 1960s. I chose to build this model because I live in Hackettstown and worked at Hackettstown Auto Parts for a couple of years while in my teens. The car was owned by Abe Levengood who occasionally drove it. It was most often driven by Bob Garboski (1941-2003) of Flemington. According to his son David, Bob won at least four sportsman features in each of the 1966 and 1967 seasons. David also supplied the color scheme since his reference photo was b&w. I hope I don't get tarred and feathered for this but the model is painted with lacquer nail polish.
