Butch's answer got it pretty right..I started the Kart shop on the farm(Mom and Dads help)when I was about 12/13 yrs old..I had a yard cart that got me started and built my own dirt track in my Grandfathers field..It was about the size of the indoor TQ tracks..Alot of labor with the dirt for a little bit of fun..The next spring I got a real racing GO-KART with a Mac 7...Me and Dad were into the racing and would sometimes race 3 times a week for a few summers winning 100 races untill I got my NJ drv license when I turned 17..Now cars seemed more important and the freedom to get around and see other races seemed easier..We had moved to the Penn Ave address when I was 15 and had the shop in the basement that Dad remodled to look like a small store with the counter as Roger remembers..Him and my Mom took it over completely when I started with cars...As one 3wider mentioned we sold all RUPP stuff, Karts, Minibikes, Snomobiles, and a small dunebuggy called a Ruppster..I played with street cars untill about 19yrs old then started on the Falcon that I completed when I was 21...Took awhile to get enough $$ to buy everything for the first build...The rest of the story you guys know about...I looked at the new pics of the house and it has a sidewalk going past it..Looks pretty nice and its a wonder it wasn't knocked down and replaced with a strip mall, like we all need more of....I gotta look for some pics from the karting days and early Falcon build..Thanks for all your interest in my life storys.....Howie
