NASCAR POINT CHASE OPENING NIGHT AT GRANDVIEW SEE BRETT KRESSLEY AND JACK BUTLER IN VICTORY LANE
MORE THAN 70 CARS ON HAND FOR TWO DIVISION SHOW
BECHTELSVILLE, PA April 13, 2019 . . .Orefield, PA’s Brett Kressley kicked off his chase for the NASCAR and track championships at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night driving to victory in the 30-lap NASCAR T.P.Trailers 358 Modified feature race. Ten time track champion Jeff Strunk grabbed second spot and another multi time track champion, Duane Howard, was able to grab third. Eric Biehn came home fourth with Rick Laubach earning a fifth place finish. Sixth through tenth went to Doug Manmiller, Frank Cozze, Jared Umbenhauer, Kyle Weiss and Craig VonDohren. There were 44 Modifieds on hand trying for the 28 feature starting spots.
The 25-lap feature for T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman was won by Jack Butler of Phillipsburg, NJ with past champion Brian Hirthler grabbing a close second. Kyle Lilick came home third followed by Mark Kemmerer and Brad Arnold.
The entire 12 event show was completed by 9:30 p.m.
Tomorrow (Sunday) at Grandview there is Outlaw Enduro and Blast from the Past Vintage racers in action at 1 p.m.
Next Saturday, April 20th, the T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds, T.P.Truck Equipment and Blast from the Past Vintage racers are featured in a tripleheader starting at 7 p.m. There is no increase in the admission prices with adults paying $15 while youngsters under 12 admitted free.
