Looks like "Tiny" on the front stretch wearing the red hat. I'm not sure what his official role was, but I thought he used to help line up the cars or direct pit traffic before the heats. Sometimes the announcers would call out to him and make jokes about or with him, so I guess he was part of the on-track entertainment on occasion...sort of. Rich Eurich in the 10. I vaguely recall Jerry Fried holding some Dune Buggy races a time or two on the half-mile infield, so I assume that it what is parked there on the infield. Looks like the Holy Family church (where Mario and family attended) in the middle of the background, right above the quarry. At first that seemed out of place in the picture, but I then realized it's an optical illusion in the photo being shot from that angle. In reality it does line up with the Lone Star Cement mill which would be right down Wood Street on the opposite end of where the church is. That cement mill is visible in the background on the left.
