Williams Grove: Went with John Wagner, brother Randy and his friend, annual trip. Camped at track, always an adventure. Posse knows how to party! The Grove never changes, and in this day that's not a good thing. They lag behind the other Pennsylvania tracks, haven't made any major improvements in many years, pits still in infield, despite plenty of room on backstretch. Good race, with Lance Dewease taking the win over Kyle Larson.
Lincoln: Used to be the top Pa track in my opinion, but Port Royal passed it a few years ago. Still great racing but the show seemed disorganized at times. Weather threatening but no real urgency to get it moving, including the presentation of the Kevin Gobrecht scholarship winners. Supposed to take 10 minutes after the B main, took 10 minutes to start it, then 15 to conclude it. However, the feature was worth the wait. Absolutely the best race I've seen in years. Kyle Larson was starting second, so a lot of people assumed he'd run away with it. Danny Dietrich and Lance Dewease had other ideas. Both ran him down after a straightaway lead, several lead changes among them (Dewease never officially led a lap but was ahead a couple times). Dietrich took the lead for good with 2 to go, very popular win for the driver with a love/hate relationship with fans, didn't hear any boos for a change. Very late night, didn't camp there due to things to do at home in morning.
Grandview on Tuesday .
