I took these shots sometime during the 80's at Grandview Speedway. This was a NASCAR Race of Champions event where The King, Kyle Petty, Rusty Wallace, Kenny Schrader, Rodney Combs and Michael Waltrip (not shown) attended. With the exception of The King all drivers strapped into modifieds and raced. I don't recall who won or who volunteered their hot rods. My fondest memory of the event was when The King moved away from the tent and sat so fans could easily approach him. I just walked up to him thanked him for his dedication to the sport and shook his hand! He's one amazing person!
