Mahoning Valley as a fan. Started the season with a photo finish for the modifieds with Big Money Matt inching out Austin Beers at the line. Likes: Started just about on time, did a pretty fair job of keeping things moving. 5 classes: modifieds (64 lap HOF series race), street stocks, hobby stocks & the rookie/futures hobby stocks (run together). Started at 2PM (like that at this time of the year) was out of there just around 6PM. Food is always good and they have a great variety. Bathrooms kept pretty clean (at least the men's room). Dislikes: Sound system still not so good. They have a no smoking policy in the grandstands but it is not really enforced. Would like to see a better paper towel dispenser in the men's room instead of a roll just sitting there. Improving: They are slowly replacing many of the boards for seating & steps. I would like to see that pick up a little more. Better than it was 2 years ago but still a long way to go. All in all, I think they are dong a pretty good job there and if you haven't gone there lately, you should give it a try. My next show there will be the ROC show on April 24.
