great question !! 19701-1980 saw some of the best racing inovations ever-- I.E sonny seamon cars , troyer chassis , flemke suspensions , many , many ,safety improvements-- really good racing from better handling cars- ---------BUT--------- liked 1960-1970 the best --" backyard engineering" , guys coming up with their own way of handling better and going faster --wrecking yard parts ( thanks clint osborn !!)--run the same car on asphalt or dirt with some changes --- coupes & sedans---------sorry--showing my age !!! blessings ,all !!
