Always a great event...  This Saturday February 26th - 5:30pm!

 

You're invited to The TAS Awards honoring "Flemington Speedway’s Most Influential Persons.” 

Saturday, February 26, 2022 

Doors open at 5:30 PM

Flemington Elks Lodge #1928, 165 Route 31, Flemington, NJ.


This year's TAS Award honorees will join Flemington Speedway’s Most Influential Persons inaugural recipient Al Tasnady (“Tas”), the eight-time Flemington Speedway Modified Track Champion and Track Official, whom the award was renamed to honor. Flemington Speedway Historical Society honors TAS Award recipients Ray Bateman, Paul Deasey, Wendy Kennedy, and Bobby Rossell, on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the Flemington Elks Lodge #1928, located at 165 Route 31, Flemington. Doors open at 5:30 pm and the evening entertainment goes from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Hor d'oeuvres served at 6:00 pm, nostalgic racing movies will be shown during this time. Cash bar will be open. Race cars and memorabilia will be on display, and door prizes and more are planned for this memorable evening!

Admission for the TAS Awards and nostalgic racing movies night is $10.00 per person, payable at the door. Credit cards are not accepted. The event is free for Flemington Speedway Historical Society (FSHS) members. New and renewal memberships will be available at the door. There is no advance purchase of tickets. Collared shirts suggested for men.

The 2013 recipients were Paul Kuhl and Billy Pauch. In 2014, Stan Ploski, Ken Brenn Sr., Ace Lane Sr., Bill Singer, and Sammy Beavers were honored. In 2015, Jackie McLaughlin, Ken Brenn Jr., Glenn Fitzcharles, and Jim Horton Sr. received the distinction. In 2016, Gerald Chamberlain, Budd Olsen, Ace Lane Jr., and Bob Pickell were honored. In 2018, Harry Dee, Kenny Brightbill, Billy Osmun, and Ray Liss were added to the TAS Award recipient list. In 2020, Ollie Butler, Les Farley, Les Katona, and John Norcia received the TAS Award honors.

Current COVID-19 guidelines recommended by the CDC will be in effect at the time of the event.

We hope you will join us in honoring this group of TAS Award recipients with an evening of nostalgic Flemington Speedway race movies before and after the TAS Award presentations!
