Saw all the comments below about Atlanta/etc., and wanted to put my notes out there as well:

I DVR'd the truck, xFinity and Cup races and enjoyed watching them.  I still not a fan of how someone can block and cause a big pile up, and not get penalized (still hold their position), but that's for NASCAR to figure out if they want to, and right now it doesn't look like they want to as they are counting on "The Big One" as a necessary element of any plate race, so add Atlanta to the list.

I thought Atlanta could potentially be a disaster, but as it turned out, it produced some very interesting events.  I think a lot of credit should go to the drivers and teams that seem to find a way to make thing work and put on a show.

I still have concerns about the new car and how the bottom of it seems to become a big skid plate as soon as a car gets a right rear flat at speed on a corner.  They keep saying that the drivers are overcorrecting, and that is what is causing them to get into the wall, but maybe it's because when the car gets a RR flat, the LF comes off the ground, and the car becomes a 3000lb hockey puck and there isn't a whole lot that the driver can do... (?)

I also watched the IndyCar event at Texas.  Enjoyed it, but didn't think much of Delvin DeFranceso on track performance, and had him causing at least 2 of the accidents, maybe 3.  He handled himself well when interviewed, and hopefully he'll have a different approach next time out.  The race featured an amazing finish, and I don't want to ruin it for anyone who plans on watching the replay on Peacock, but be sure you watch the last 5 laps or so.

I do have to do a reversal here as although somewhat of a fan, I have been critical of Jimmie Johnson's Indycar results to date, but he finished in the top 10 this past week after having a decent qualifying effort in his first attempt at an oval in an Indycar.  Who knew that ovals might be the place for him to shine after watching him struggle through all of last year's road course/street course events?  It'll be a good story line to follow for sure with Indy only about 2 month away.
