sad loss LES KATONA  

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Les Katona.

For some of us, the Sportsman and the Modified divisions had equal billing when it came to interest, excitement, and dedication to the sport, and that was definitely the case for me when it came to Flemington and East Windsor throughout the 70's.  So when I think of the top runners of those great days, I don't divide them up by division....  I only see them as being the stars, and Les was always part of the storyline.

A really tough competitor,, who was a threat to win everytime the #K3 was in the field.

Thank you for all of the "K3" memories.
