A little more info...  

Jeffrey Earnhardt has an Xfinity ride this weekend in a Richard Childress owned car at Talledaga.  He does not usually run up front, or qualify up front in the cars that he has been able to get rides in up to this point.

The Childress car is black and has a #3 on it.  They pulled Larry McReynolds out of retirement to be the crew chief on it for this weekend.  Jeffrey Earnhardt put it on the pole yesterday, beating out Ty (I'll punch you as long as you take your helmet off, but I'll can leave mine on) Gibbs, who was going for his 4th pole in a row in Grandpop's #54.

What should also be noted is that I think Austin Hill drives a Childress car and he was also one of the top qualifiers.  Everybody flatfoots it all the way around at Talladega so I think mdracer is suspicious that the #3 car has a little something to work with than the other teams/cars. 

It all doesn't mean much unless one is tuned into the xFinity Series this year, and I'm thinking that most on the board here aren't.
