Went to Mahoning this weekend as a fan for the second of the HoF shows.

Positives:  THis show was run much better than the first HoF show a few weeks back.  Kept the show moving, even cleaning up an "oil down" from a pretty hard crash.  Kept the intermission/re-draw to a minimum also.  Quite a few heats, 1 consi, 50 lapper for the mods, twin 38's for the street stocks and the normal features for the futures, pro-4's & hobby cars.  Left track at 10:38.  Not bad.

Some great racing with a near photo finish for the mods & good side/side battles for both street stock features & the hobby cars.  19 mods, 27 street stocks, 18 or 20 hobby cars plus the other classes.

Food always good.

Not-so positives.  Lap counter still not working.  Sound system still not so good.

Something I also thought was negative was in the winner circle, one top 5 modified driver mentioned over the microphone that the racing is better when a certain numbered car isn't here.  What struck me about the comment is that this driver dominated one of the the late model class years back and won in the mods quite a bit but I never heard anyone mention that if his car wasn't there, the racing would be better.  Always had a lot of respect for this guy but lost a little after Saturday.
