SCISCO RIDES TO WALL MOD VICTORY LANE

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. ~ In a Modified stock car that featured graphics in remembrance of those lost in the 9-11 tragedies, Kyle Scisco raced to victory in the 40 lap main event on Lost Loved Ones Tribute Night at Wall Stadium Saturday. It was the fourth win of the season for the Jackson resident.

Derek Hopkinson of Toms River charge to the front at the outset and led the majority of the non-stop first 27 laps. At that point action turned chaotic with several cautions including one that involved the majority of the field.

When the running order was sorted out Steven Reed of Jackson and Scisco made up the front row. Then, on a lap 35 restart the duo tangled in turn two with Reed's car tagging the second turn rail and leaving the race as a result. Scisco then survived the final five laps for the win while Holmdel's Andrew Krause, Anthony Sesely of Hazlet, Jackson's Blake Barney and Neil Rutt III of Colts Neck completed the top five.

“I wasn't very optimistic about a win tonight because we were only putting on two tires when most others were putting on four new ones,” Scisco said. “It was a crazy night for everyone. Maybe it was the full moon.”

The Factory Stocks raced in twin 25 lappers and Manahawkin's Robert Stack was untouchable in winning his first ever main event in the first race. Howell's Johnny Carpenter was a close second, with Manchester's Scott Riggleman, Howell's Brian Osborn and Billy Both of Rahway finishing third through fifth.

Carpenter won the second Factory Stock main event which was checker flagged on lap 14 due to the late hour. Both, Stack, Bryan O'Shea of Neptune City and Scott Riggleman wrapped up the top five.

Mike Alcaro of West Milford was the winner of the first of two 25 lap races for the Legend Cars over point leader Tanner Jones of Glen Gardner and Nick Marabito. Point leader Jones won the Legend Cars nightcap over Quinn Trimmer and Eugene Drew.

Former champ Kevin Davison of Howell was the 25 lap race for the Sportsman cars taking the win over Neil Rutt II and Ryan Fisher on the final lap. Jarret DiGiantomasso and Tyler Ferris were fourth and fifth.

Alex Graetz of Wall took his first ever main event win in the Fast 4 25-lapper over Alonzo Morales of Burlington and point leader Sean Vuksanic of Wall.

Saturday night racing action continues this weekend with the Modifieds, Sportsman, Factory Stocks, Fast 4 cars and Limited Late Models on the schedule with qualifying at 5:00 p.m. and main events at 7:00 p.m.
