Where Did You Go: Mahoning ROC  

Went to the Mahoning ROC show.  

Likes:  26 modifieds, 19 street stocks, about 24 hobby cars, not sure how many "futures" there were.  Racing in general was pretty good in these classes with a real battle at the end of the street stocks and still not sure how they determined the winner.  Food is always good there.  Except for the intermission, the show moved along OK.  

Dislikes:  New rule, no colers or outside food (just like Reading Phillies, Royals, Lehigh Valley baseball & hockey and most pro-sport venues).  I don't generally bring food (except sometimes for some fruit) but I do bring drinks.  You were allowed 3 bottles of water per person, but no coolers.  The sound system where we were sitting was terrible.  Could barely hear Dino and when the ROC announcer spoke, he was always broken up and even harder to hear.  When getting food, stood in line for roughly 45 minutes.  Way to long just to eat.  Missed the Pro 4's feature, the futures feature, and the re-draw while standing in line.  Pro 4's only had about 7 cars and the dirt modified series only had 5 cars.

I will go back to most of the special shows.  Hopefully they will do something about the sound system and at least consider the cooler rule.
