The good news Doug is that sales will be up at the concession stands during the Street Stock Feature!

As for "Its nice to see someone with something a little more modern looking", what "Street Stock" body exactly is that #19 running?

It's the same story that repeats itself every 20 years or so.  A basic class is established with the idea that weekend warriors will be able to have a shot in a competitive class of similar vehicles... Then somebody shows up with something that is either illegal, or that they found something that the rules didn't address clearly, and because the track's need car counts more than fans, they let them run... So then the guys with the traditional cars begin to sell them off because they know they have no chance.... and a few maybe buy something  or makes something that stretches the rules even further, and before you know it, there's even less cars, and the class gets dropped.

The only difference is decades ago, when it got out of hand, the track would usually gets it's second wind and announce a new "Hobby Stock" or "Factory Stock" or "Street Stock" class.  I don't see that happening now, so we're probably seeing the end of a V8 powered Street Stock division, and if anyone is looking for anything stock appearing, it'll probably be a 4 Cylinder Class.

We'll see how nice it is as we watch the car count in the "Street Stock" class this year.  Maybe there are more drivers out there than I think that will willing to trade in their knife.
