I got to 2 new to me tracks this past weekend. Attended both as a spectator. Fri 5/5/2023 Lernerville 3/8m banked clay oval . Fab 4 show for $18 adm. Approx car counts, 30 410 Sprints, 20 Late Models, 20 Pro Stocks?(more like Limited Late Models) and 14 Northeast style Modifieds. Likes: good competitive races in all divisions all night long. Only a few minor wrecks, and one minor sprint flip, driver was ok. Good seats, good lights, good public address system, knowledgeable announcer. Nice food stands ; adequate rest rooms. Track was a little rough in the turns due to all the rain, but the track crew kept ahead of it. Drivers seem to actually fight for the high groove going into Turn 1 and rim ride it. They ran the whole show in approx 3 1/2 hours. No dislikes.

Stayed overnight for Sat 5/6 Jennerstown full half mile slightly banked oval. $10 adm $5 to park. Approx car counts: Wheelmam Touring Street/Pro Stock group from Ohio 23 cars for $25 hundred to win 50 laps. Late Models 16 Street Stocks 18, E-Mods 9, Pro Stocks 16, Chargers 7, Fast 4's 14. Likes: excellent huge Grandstand plus a small drive in on the back stretch for tailgating. Good PA and announcer, variety of concession stands, adequate rest rooms. Excellent lighting. Excellent racing -only 3 minor crashes and a couple of other spin outs during the whole show. No real dislikes even with the $5 to park still only = $15 to get in. They even gave me 1 free complimentary admission tic for any remaining show this season. It is now my favorite asphalt short track ahead of Stafford and Thompson. Drivers showed much respect to each other in all of the divisions. Preliminary warm ups and qualifying started at 2. The Main show started at 4 (I arrived at 3:45) and ended approx 9:30 which is on par with how most other asphalt short tracks operate especially with 7 divisions on hand. Great crowds both nights. It appears that short track racing is alive and well in Western, PA. I will not be back to either one anytime soon, 6-7 hours travel one way for each track from NJ. I am trying to get to new tracks this year.
