I'm no expert on this, but I think if you (someone in your household) is an Amazon Prime member (I'm told is about $120 per year which gets you free shipping plus a few other perks), "Prime" streaming is also included at no additional charge.

I don't use Amazon, but my wife does, so Prime is listed as one of the available streaming channels on my Roku home screen.  There's a football game on right now that is probably not availalble on regular network/cable.

I wouldn't pay $120 to watch a handful of races, or anything else on "Prime" for that matter, but I'm just saying that if someone in your household already has Amazon Prime, then you probably already have access to "Prime."

Lastly, I am a dinasour in many aspects of my life, but I have 100% embraced streaming.  I never watch anything live on TV. anymore.... NOTHING.  I still have cable and a DVR, but those days are numbered as there is less and less on regular cable TV that I can't also see via Roku (on one of the streaming channels), and as mentioned above, I watch it when I want to watch it, and watch as many episodes as I want at one sitting, and I fast forward through all commercials.

In the final analysis, it'll probably end up costing just about as much as I have been paying for the past 20 years, but it is a much better viewing experience.
