In 79 Gene Coyle and I were at Daytona 500 went back to our hotel after a long day at the track , getting in the elevator Coyle goes to the soda machine i get in the elevator with this guy and its Bobby Allison, he had just wrecked the T Bird in practice we have a nice chat on the way up. he won the race on Sunday. Coyle never believed me but it happened Bob Turlip
