At Wall Stadium, the owner Jenny Nichol, would stand at the front gate and welcome people and say hello to the people she knew. She also tracked who was paying for what and I passed for 12 years old until I was 18 then was able to race. I was familiar to her from being there every week and when I went up to the office to get my license to Race when I was 18, she told me I was too young to get a license until I showed her my drivers license and birth certificate and told her I was 18. She shook her head knowing I paid for 12 til last year. A few times we would stick our finger in a car in the parking lot exhaust pipe and get the black out of it and rub it on the back of our hand and walk into the pits.
