STEVE CAMERON, months hauler was built over a period of about 2 month period. I'd put the hauler on the shelf for a few days if I was "stuck", or leery of my next move. Case in point, I was really hesitant to cut the frame and lengthen the wheelbase until Kevin Eyes motivated me to do so. Glad I listened to him. Another stumbling block was whether or not to add what looks like a sleeper compartment on the real hauler. I settled on filling in the back side windows to give the model a similar look as the real thing. ELF30, Regarding cost, the AMT Ford Coke truck model was around $58 while the IPC Pinto was $20. The special order decals were $80. Regarding the decals, when you make a special order with Polecat Decals, they give you 2 complete sets (in case you screw up when applying them). For me, any money spent on my models is well worth it. I enjoy it, and when I occasionally look at my hot rods, I go back to a time a racing that was my favorite! Thanks to all that gave my models of Gil's Pinto and hauler a thumbs up. Just like 3Wide, I'm trying to keep racing's past alive. Scott Ely .
