I started painting these “lyrics signs” as I call them, basically putting some of my favorite lyrics in sign form. Of course, had to do one from my favorite band, Lynyrd Skynyrd. Last year went to see the Artimus Pyle Band, Artimus was Skynyrd’s drummer and survived the plane crash despite serious injuries. I took the sign with me because he always greets fans after the show. He not only autographed it, he liked it so much that he held it up and showed it off to everybody. Didn’t actually meet anyone, but last year I was commissioned to pinstripe the motorcycle used in the Bob Dylan biopic “ A Complete Unknown”
