I feel like I've told this story before, but I did event security on the side when I lived in Columbia. I was working backstage at a Kenny Chesney concert. Some dude was wandering around playing Led Zep on an acoustic guitar. I told him it was good so he played another. We chatted music for a couple minutes and he moved along. Just a bored roadie probably. Later he walked by me with a knockout on his arm and surrounded by important looking people. Turns out he was some guy named Jake Owen. He was also on the bill that night and already had multiple #1 country songs. I think enjoyed talking to me cuz he knew I had no idea who he was. Kenny Chesney said hey and nodded at me later that evening. 😀
