I met Bob back in the late 80's when I worked for Allen Test Products and sold equipment to repair shops. I called on just about every repair shop in Middlesex and Somerset counties, and then some.... As TBone said, Bob had a shop in Dunellon, and he visits the board here often. I'm hoping Bob will see the picture and comment - I always like Bob's comments.... That was kind of a cool job (calling on repair shops when I worked for Allen Test.) Just up in that general area of Dunellon, I got to meet Phil Terrill #34 who worked at Foreign Express in Middlesex, John Salvatore at Salvatores Mobil in Middlesex, Mike Sena at Sena's Auto Repair in Bound Brook area, Andy Walko from Walko's Automotive in Manville, Freddy Dmuchowski at Country Club Sunoco up near Bridgewater, Dennis Massone who also worked on the #303, but worked at Millstone Getty, Frank Resta at Resta's Mobil in Somerset, and I also remember stopping at Curnow's Amoco near Bound Brook where they kept a sprint car. A little further up the hill on the other side of Rt 28, and I met the guys at Martinsville Exxon that worked on Pete Telesco's #84, and Tom Simone #19 who had a Getty station on the circle up there somewhere, The Dealaman's (who were involved with Brightbill's #19, and also who back in the 70's had the # 337 painted school bus yellow... (why, because they had a fleet of school buses!).... It was a great job.... stopping at all the shops... met a lot of great folks... got in a lot of racing talk while on the clock..... Only problem was that, my boss actually expected me to sell something.... Wouldn't trade those days for anything, and still see a few folks that I first met, amost 40 years ago....calling on them at their repair shops, as that annoying Allen Automotive Test Equipment salesman....
