BAPS Motor Speedway Becomes Landmark ARRA 200th Track Researched!!

Ringoes,NJ – Auto Racing Research Associates are proud to announce that the York Haven, PA auto racing facility, the BAPS Motor Speedway, has been added to their always growing auto racing statistics website, becoming the 200th track across the country to be added to their popular site.

“I had been rapidly cleaning up my list of stuff to do both with the research stuff and life in general.” mentioned Fred Voorhees, ARRA President, from his Ringoes, NJ ARRA home office. “I try to always have some sort of racing research project underway these days and after I recently wrapped up my research on support division winners at the Orange County Fair Speedway in NY, I took a week or so off from the office to concentrate with my wife on Spring cleanup around our property.”

“I solicited opinions on what I might consider as my next subject to research.” Fred noted. “Someone, somewhere mentioned the Susquehanna Speedway, now known as the BAPS Motor Speedway. I had a small file on some of the racing there…but certainly not enough to warrant a page on our site.” he continued. “So, some snooping around the internet revealed some plentiful data and I decided to go after it. Information changes quickly on the internet and this information on BAPS is a fine example. I spent four or five days, maybe a week and came up with plenty of information to construct a page dedicated to the long standing Pennsy speed plant. I have one or two minor issues with a stat or two and I have been in contact with the speedway and am awaiting a response.”

BAPS has the distinct honor of becoming the historian group’s landmark 200th racing facility to be added to the ARRA website as a researched and documented track. “We’ve got a great, dedicated assembly of auto racing historians across the country here at ARRA and we have been able to collect the history of so many racing plants across the country!” Voorhees proudly boasted. “Two hundred tracks…who would have thunk? That is a wonderful accolade for the work that these guys have done! And not one of them does it for anything more than the satisfaction of keeping the sports history alive!
