Here is my model of a 1939 Ford coupe driven by the late Bob Meshach (1935-2013) then of Blairstown. I presume Bob operated the Blairstown Esso Servicenter. When I saw a b&w photo of this car posted in the Photo Vault by Joe Meshach, I decided to build a model. I reached out to Bob's son Joe who had posted the photo. He only had that one picture of the car and thought it was blue and white so that is what I went with. I had to gues at bumpers and exact front end detai. I could see just enough of the hood to gues that this is a 1939 Ford. Model may not be exact but I had fun.
Joe identified two of the men in the black and white photo below: Left: Roger Jones, unknown and Right: Bob Meshach.
To add some engine detail when I wired the engine, I added an aftermarket 1942 Ford distributor with the "crab" style distributor cap that was popular with racers and hot rodders. More serviceable. You old 3 Widers will know what I am talking about.
