MID-ATLANTIC SPRINT SERIES SET FOR NES

The Delaware Auto Exchange Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series is ready to invade the New Egypt Speedway on Saturday. This will be their first of five appearances at the Route 539 oval in 2022.

Heading the popular series will be the 2021 champion Kevin Nagy. Coming off a banner season in which he captured six feature wins, Nagy will find some of his toughest competition coming from Jeff Paulson, Rory Janney, Dave Brown, Eddie Wagner, Tim Tanner, and Larry McVay.

McVay is definitely no stranger to the Plumsted Township speedway as he has the distinction of being the first ever Sportsman champion. The Bordentown, NJ driver had a highly successful season in 1998 as he won seven features on route to the title.

Joining the MASS group on Manchester/New Egypt Night will be the Vahlco Wheels Modifieds, Hamilton Auto Clinic/RacersGuide Crates, the Freedom Firearms Street Stocks, and the Rookies.

Brandon Grosso will lead a strong field of modifieds into action, and expected to give the Belle Mead resident a run for his money will be former track champions Danny Bouc, Frank Cozze, David Van Horn, and Rick Laubach.

The Crate division has been a wide-open division throughout the first few weeks of the season and among those looking for victory lane will be Paul Hartwig, Joe Toth, Ryan Simmons, Chris Lilick, and Johnny Bangs just to name a few.

Coming off an impressive win, Vern McLaughlin will be looking to make it two in a row. A winner fifteen times at the speedway, McLaughlin will see his toughest competition coming from three-time track champion Bill Liedtka, Brian Ludwig, Chris Lane, Gary Klimczck, and Spider Ensinger III.

Admission for all Manchester/New Egypt residents will be half price. Pit gates will open at 3:00PM, grandstands at 4:00PM, warmups at 5:00PM, and the first green flag will drop at 6:00PM.
