I know some of the folks on here are from the NC and SC areas.  I just wish to pass on my prayers for all you folks in that area of the country.  The next week or so is going to be very tough going; perhaps even that is too optimistic.  Hunker down, be safe, and may God bless.

THanks for your thoughts and prayers. Not going to be good here. Howie was seen duct taping his hat on today here in Denver.

Yes. Thank you as well for your thoughts and prayers. We are just keeping an eye on things and my wife is busy buying all of the bread and milk etc. at each store she goes in. Lol. The news says that evening though we are in land in the Charlotte area to prepare for at least 3 to 5 days with out electric. Everything is closing early such as schools and many work places as well. I hope and pray that everyone along the coast come out safely. Years ago Hugo visited Charlotte and many people around here still remember that ordeal. Everyone in my neigborhood has agreed to help each other as needed. It should be a busy few days around here.

I just got in from picking my daughter up at Newark Airport.  She lives in Asheville, and was supposed to fly up tomorrow night for a family wedding in Cape May on Saturday, but we were able to get her on an earlier flight (today) rather than dealing with delays tomorrow.  She said she went to pick up a few bottles of water at Walmart on Monday, and the shelves were already cleared.  (And Asheville is way over in the western part of the state.)

We lost power for 10 days with hurricane Sandy a while back.  Not a lot of fun but nothing compared to those who their homes or worse.  Friends of The Vault Bobby Pickell Jr., and Kevin Eyres helped me out last time so that we had a generator going for the last 3 days to run a few things which it a whole lot better.

Be safe guys.

Good luck guys. Heed the warnings and hopefully it turns out to be only a Weather Channel ratings sweep storm.

Our thoughts are with you all. Please also keep in mind the thousands of utility workers that will be out restoring powe after the storm. I’m sure my brother Randy and the JCP&L crew will be somewhere during this.

On another note, my oldest daughter and her boyfriend are flying out of Newark tomorrow for Tampa to attend Sunday’s Eagles game. Florida supposed to be okay, and  direct flights should be okay.

Well the wind is picking up to around 30 mph. No rain yet. They say we will have these winds thru Sunday and get about 6 inch of rain. Better than what they said earlier in the week. There are about 6 or 7 of us old Flemington guys here in Denver so thanks for your prayers and concerns. Don Nugent
