As mentioned in previous posts, we like to limit the size of the pictures around here so as to not take up a lot of digital space, and to also keep those who still insist on searching the web for unembedded images that they can then print out and try to sell as their originals.

However... every once in a while we find a picture that we think fits well to the idea of "The Big Picture", so we embed the image, and then display it here on The Message Vault at a larger than usual size so that you can take in the image, identify things in the background... and who knows... you might even see yourself or a relative in there somewhere!

Here's one from Nazareth, marked 1979:

Photographer unknown (not marked).  Provided by Ray Lemasters as part of the Hendershot Collection.

Comments welcome.

How many guys are wearing the typical pit crew attire of the time - old pr of sneakers or work boots, jeans, and a long sleeve flannel shirt with a peak hat? See Higbee Bros white ramp truck with their #97 on the door with Craig McCaughey's car backed up to the front of their truck. Craig is standing next to his car with crew member checking the RR tire. Craig's blue (I believe it was a dually) pick up and trailer next are to the 301. Typical crammed in pits at Nazareth.

Actually it was a Chevy Suburban and I can't tell who the crew guy is...but you can see the film of dust on the roof of the Suberban from Flemington the night before, lol.

80 is Don Hendershot, 77 could be either Ken Wismer Jr, Johnny Kozak, Ronnie Dunstan or Dave Stonebraker, they all drove it. Stonebraker's Dad owned it.
