60 Tony Hirshmann Jr..  He showed up in 1978 getting away from the smaller Mahoning and Evergreen to the faster Wall Stadium. Did very well in his own beautiful cars, then driving for Howard Harvey X-9/09 and Frank Corvasier #6 Frenchies Auto Body car. He went on to be the most successful driver from Wall Stadium winning the NASCAR modified championship five times and the ROC multiple times.

Very true, but I was talking Modified guys. Martin was only in a Mod a very short time.

agree 100%--not taking anything away from martin jr, but--

--tony hirshmann jr. was a  "dyed in the wool"

modified driver--i.e--jerry cook ,richie evans, etc---

Ed Lilly and his #23 was another MVS/Evergreen competitor who converted to Wall around the same time period as Hirchman.

In the 4th photo theres a gold Pinto bodied #33 car. I remember that car running several years after this photo was shot and it looked pretty much the same. Who was the driver? I don't believe he ever raced up front. Probably just one of those guys who knows they're bringing a knife to a gunfight but just want to race anyhow.
