Former Wall Stadium promoter/track manager Jim Morton passed away last Thursday.  Jim worked for the owners of the track for 2006 and 2007. Wall closed in 2008 and in 2009 and 2010, Jim leased and promoted the track.  The Krauses get most of the deserved credit for saving Wall, but it was Jim, with no money behind him, put his ass on the line to keep Wall going. I give him a ton of credit for doing so. Jim was a hard working promoter often doing the things few promoters do any more. He went to many races recruiting drivers and owners to race at Wall. He had a "let's try it" attitude. Gonna miss him. Rest in peace my friend.

My condolences to the friends and family of Jim Morton.

Jim built a very important bridge for Wall Stadium's future, that came at a time when most needed.

As a fan of short track racing in NJ, I will always be very appreciative for that, and for the times that I did get to talk about NJ racing with Jim.
