Dominion is a really great facility. Has a road race track and 1/8 mile drag strip. It’s a very fast track. They do not have heat races. They time the cars during warm ups. I think they qualify the late  models indidually. They run features for about five classes of cars which vary from week to week. The late models run around sixty lap features. Their schedule shows what classes run on any given night. The late models and modifieds are rockets.

Unfortunately the track is a pain  to get to even though it is right in I95. Traveling the Capital, Beltway  Rt 495, to 95 on Saturday afternoon will test your vocabularY. Rt 301 thru Md. Will do the same. 

I went the first night they opened about four years ago. Have not gone back, I’m just not a fan of long distance short track races. However a good friend of mine who raced on dirt for several years is addicted  to the place. He makes the trip from the eastern shore of Md. to Dominion almost every week. They do have some car count problems in some classes. I do know sone legends drivers that won’t race there because it’s to fast and dangerous for the cars. If they wreck it totals the car.
