Well boys we all hate mirror driving well ....wait for it....Nascar new car has a rear camera that will put a view up on the screen on the dash. They still will have airror if they want. What could go wrong here. Oh and by the way they are looking at going to charge a pay per view and streaming deal when the new tv contracts come do in 23. Are you ready to pay to watch?

No thanks. I wouldn't pay to watch a race. I'd find the highlights on YouTube Sunday night. I forget where I heard it last week but NASCAR is floating the idea of sort of bringing practice back. They mentioned having a 20 minute practice session then going right to qualifying and teams couldn't touch anything on the car during or after the brief practice session. So what's the point of bringing back practice?

I don't watch it for free, so certainly wouldn't pay. Had no idea they didn't practice these days, or why you would have practice without being able to touch cars.

I used to ask Darren if he was bringing his car over to practice at NES...He'd say "why, did they move the turns?"....lol...

That's funny. I think NASCAR teams need some practice. They see some of these tracks just once a year. No matter how much simulator time you get nothing tells you what you got except laps in the real world. Tracks do age and change from one year to the next Do they need several hours of practice over 2 or 3 days like they did 30 years ago? No. Would an hour be helpful? I'm sure.

As Rick said, I don't watch it for free now, so I sure won't pay to watch in the future. On the other hand, I don't mind shelling out the cash to watch everything Flo has to offer. I'm also thinking about purchasing a subscription to NBC Sports Gold in order to watch the NASCAR Modifieds again next year.

I get my racing fix and then some on a screen through Flo. The way I see it, with the exception of a few races,  I'm already paying to watch NASCAR's 'top' 3(not) divisions by having Direct TV. I'll not pay for an additional service to watch Grand National, Sportsman and Truck.

If you have figured out how to stream, then cancel cable. I did, five months ago, and do not miss it at all.

You can watch almost all by streaming. If not, who cares. Saving $160 a month, $1920 a year. I only pay for internet and use some of the saved money to purchase Flo and Dirtvision.  I cancel both when not needed.

It's a bit of a game you have to learn, but pretty easy.  "F" the cable company. Bunch of blood sucking whores!

Pluto TV is free and excellent. There are a few others, but I don't watch much TV, so I don't need them.

Who are you using for a home internet provider?  I think you and I have the same cable company, and once this racing season is over, I'm done with cable, but will still need an internet provider.

Other than Nascar Truck, XFinity & Cup races (which I DVR and then skim through with help of the fast forward button), everything else I watch is streaming (Discovery +, Peacock.... and then some free services available through Roku.

Optimum, like you.  I pay $64 a month for internet, then stream all channels that are out there including Fox Sports and NBC. Like I said, a few tricks, but well worth what you save.

If you do it, I will post what I do for you to use. Then spend the $150 a year (sounds like alot, but much better than $2400 for cable) on Flo Racing and you will get your racing fix, believe me.
