I don't think I've seen that version of the Kremer 77 before. That car is even cooler than their coach! The Bob McCullough photo was taken by Les Mitchell (I have a copy with his stamp on the front). Here's how some of that custom bodywork came to be...

PIC 1----peanut wardell in the kremer #77 ?( great driver , by the way !!) pop barney's # b-24- al pomponio ? ( did i get 'em right ?? lol !!) pic 4 ----dick barneys late '60's /early '70's # 14 sedan driven by r.massing/b rossell THE coolest looking sedan ever !! with that " california rake" , that hot rod always looked like it was going 100 mph just standing still !!!

The Barney 14s were always some of the coolest hot rods to hit the Wall Stadium asphalt. For me, this Sedan ranks 2nd behind the Dick Barney red 3 window coupe with a rounded aluminum hood. I believe ths coupe, also driven by Joe Kelly, was powered by a fuel injected Oldsmobile motor. This car was nearly unbeatable at Wall. Scott Ely |
