Read today in Autosport an article by Jim Utter that Nascar is softning the Nexgen car. I guess it was a problem after all and not a rumor.

They tested.  They made an improvement.  Probably the first of many.

There's a post a few below this that quotes those involved and the specific changes they are making.

Maybe in addition to looking for ways to continue to improve car safety, they can look at making a rule (or rules) about the blatent, ill-advised blocking and the pushing (sometimes 2 & 3 cars back) that are the major cause of most of the wrecks.

Well Joe not only will there be mirror driving but they added a rear facing camera so they will also have a screen to watch as well. What could possibly go wrong here.

I don't think there was ever any questioning as to whether or not the car failed the test. The question is...... Was the car tested at a speed and angle in which NASCAR fully expeceted those results. And thus was able to reverse engineer those data points. You can't fix something until you now what breaks!

As far s rear view cameras.....their just getting started. You might want to check my post over on SJDR and then do some critical thinking. Then listen to the daily narratives and see where it leads you. It's not a matter of if, only when.
