I was probably there when Tas won at Flemington...Saw most of the modifieds there from about 1949/1950 or when they started running every Saturday nite..I was 10yrs old and went with my Dad..Its all his fault i got into racing...would do it all again...HtH

absolutely true , howie !!- how many of us were turned on to racing by our dad' s---can still remember the VERY FIRST RACE Can still remember the VERY FIRST RACE he took me to , also at 10yrs.old at wall stadium--joe kelly  (dave haupt) won in the XL-1 !!!

Put me in that group too. Dad would take my 2 brothers and I to Windsor and Wall. I remember one trip to Flemington with all them too when i was very little. Eventually my brothers stopped going so it was just dad and I for the next 40 years. Our first race together was probably at East Windsor or maybe Wall sometime around 1970. Give or take a year. Our last race together was at Anderson in SC in 2014 right before mom and dad moved back to NJ. I still think of that crazy old man every time I'm around loud cars going fast and turning left.

I dont think Fred Pump's 94 was a Mulligan although it kind of looks that way...Nick Illobre is in the 45, not Ralph Heotzler.
